Cane Creek S6 Head Set - 1" BLACK

The S-6 headset is based on the design of Cane Creek’s time-honored S-Pro headset, featuring replaceable bearings and a lighter, more compact profile.
Construction: Angular-contact cartridge-bearing assemblies contain a full complement of continuous-contact stainless steel balls. These bearings are superior to the typical headset spec of off-the-shelf cartridge bearings or carbon steel balls in a radial formation. Friction is lower, load-bearing ability and durability are higher, corrosion is rarer. The bearings are more easily replaceable when worn. The bearings are immersed in waterproof grease and protected by neoprene seals (removable for servicing). They roll on stainless steel races.
The headset cups and upper bearing cover are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum. The upper cover, reinforced with an O-ring seal, keeps moisture from invading the headset. The cup profile is more compact, yielding lower weight and a lower stack height.
